No ADH Premium when you buy from Orange. Just be aware of it.
You can buy the phone cash from Vodacom Online, as Michelle said, for exactly the same price + get ADH Premium.
So I went into about 5 stores today and they all had the phone. Samsung and Vodacom want around R11 500.
MTN won't sell it to you unless you take a contract.
Even the Telkom shop has them but they can't sell you one as they haven't been told the prices yet. I kid you not. They have stock sitting there that is just for show as they don't know what to charge....... mind boggles......
It makes it so hard to try and get a feel for the phone when they have that ridiculous security tether attached to it.
You can't even get your hand around the phone properly. It's like playing tug-of-war with it whilst trying to use it. Very bad indeed.
It makes me think of test driving a car - but you are only allowed to sit in it, you can't take it around the block. Pointless.
Loved the screen though.

I understand the S5 is a more premium phone, but they could have at least given Note 4 owners a taste of that premium feeling??
I don't believe it until someone else confirms it. How can anything be more premium than the Note 4. Even the Note 3 had it so there is no excuse. I hope the Vodashops are as clueless as always.

Does your phone come with one of these? If not, it's not really as premium....but still close.

Lol, in what crazy world is the S5 more premium than a Note 4, lol!
We were told that its ADH Core on wednesday nite, apparently if it were ADH Premium it would have pushed the Note 4 price far too high.
Seems the metal in the Note 4 is costing Sammy in terms of margins.

What it means is that Samsung have less faith in that gold plastic toy of yours and have to compensate with ADH Premium
On the other hand they have built the Note 4 to such a high standard that it costs them in the bottom line and so they haven't had to compensate.
But if I got ADH Premium with my gold S5, surely it means I have a premium device?
Wasn't the whole thing with ADH Premium that if you don't use it...it carries over to your next device?

I nearly forgot ..or maybe i will just forget about ADH .!
A Samsung rep, at a Vodashop on Friday ,17 Oct told me (when i wanted to register my Note 4 for ADH ) that there is no " app/ ? " available at present ,to use/register for Note 4.
It should be available soon ( ? ) I must contact him later this week .
I then told him ,that for Note 3 (last year,) a Samsung rep instore ,did the ADH for me, using a SMS number (But he did not know anything about a SMS no )
The Samsung rep also said that you can only now claim only once and not 2 x times ( as was the case with Note 3 ).
I told him ,as i still had my 2 x unused claims from the Note 3, that i could carry it over to Note 4 ?
He confirmed that i could .( thus x3 claims ? )
Further i read a News24 report headline "Samsung anoints Note 4 as the new king"
Samsung stated that the Note range is now "the " flagship/top ", in the Galaxy series .Also something about they had at least 1000/? ( claims re ADH ..? )

Hahaha.....thanks for the laffs.
But, joking aside, if you are the owner of a Galaxy Note 4, you need to specify it on your personal insurance pronto. Do not delay, do it today!
ADH Core only covers replacing the display once, and without ADH, you will be paying much more than R2000 to fix it, as it's a 2K display.
And ADH doesn't cover you if your device is stolen, or someone accidentally bump it off your desk/table.
