Didn't know, but I thought you are going to cut down on all the contracts?

I can't cancel the one that's due now because it's my wife's number. She took the S4mini because her S3mini was giving just too many problems.

So now I'm taking this phone.

Fetched my Galaxy Note 4 yesterday and seem to have a problem with it... :(

I have had a few random restarts, always when I have had a problem with the WiFi disconnecting and reconnecting. I did a hard factory reset which seemed to sort out the problem last night, but this morning it has done it again.

The Wi-Fi will connect fine, then disconnects, then recoonects. I have disabled "smart network switch". If I do a speed test with Ookla, it will suddenly flatlines on the speed when connected with Wi-Fi, then speed up again. When disconnecting the Wi-Fi, it gives me a smooth 18.5 Mbps down. Any other thoughts or do you think this device is toast? I don't like the reboot though. Sometimes when it comes out of sleep mode, it reboots.

I had no update to do on the device like some of you have had.

Model: SM-N910C
Android: 4.4.4

Look forward to any help. Thanks.

Since it's only a day old, I would go swap it out. Hopefully they have wifi in store and you can recreate the problem.

I have a Spigen Slim Armor and Spigen Neo Hybrid on the way. (not sure if I will receive them with the ongoing postal strike tough) I also like the crystal clear Spigen Ultra Hybrid, so I might order one of those as well.

I see that Loot sells the Samsung Sview cover for R449 for anyone interested.

Have you recieved the small update that Samsung pushed out? This may be part of the reason for it

Very odd, the N910C is the Exynos I'm guessing? I'd say go and swap it out, you got a lemon, you can try doing the update, but it sounds like you got a faulty phone.

I have an exynos note 3 and would recommend that you rather go for the snapdragon version. I couldn't find many roms for the exynos version because Samsung hasn't released the required info for devs to make kernels etc, meanwhile there's a ton of roms for the snapdragon variant.

Add to that that you get LTE support from the snapdragon version.

There was no update for me to install. If I go to updates, there is none - I am at version 4.4.4 already.

Where did you go to install the update or did it push through?

Probably faulty. I have kept my old micro SIM card from my Note 2 - unsure on its size (32k or 64k). Probably need to get a 128k one if I want to utilize LTE as well. Cannot get LTE at present. I am sure the size of the SIM wouldn't make a difference though.

The SM-N910C (Exynos) has Cat4 LTE standard.
Does cat4 support our LTE bands? I see the snapdragon has cat6?
The lack of roms for Exynos bums me out but doesn't matter for 99% of people,
I would definetly go for snapdragon just for its rom support.

That's just the magnet that keeps the flip cover closed, not the cover itself.

Have a look at the Spigen Slim Armor & Spigen Neo Hybrid cases. If you want a flip case, you'll probably only find one made by Samsung. They sell for about $49 on Amazon.
Wow these covers look great. Anyone know where I can buy one in SA? Edit: Spigen covers
