Lighten up dude, you going to unnecessarily sustain a thrombosis soon...
I mean rim....u know...blackberry ? There's a company that could innovate. But who is the worlds biggest seller of mobile phones ? Samsung (no different from huawei in actually quality and innovation).

I am not saying let that keep you awake at night. But why the hell would you be a fan of such a company ?

I can only assume their weak mind can't hold a marketing campaign at bay ?

You have a big mouth for someone that uses a LG G2.

Like I said before, you're lost. Or are there just too few people in the iPhone forum???

Whats wrong with a g2 ? I can't think of anything my phone can't do that an s5 can. Oh yes....heart rate monitor and basically non functioning finger print scanner ? I can't remove the battery but then it lasts longer by all accounts.

Three things I can live without knowing I got my phone for R450 bucks a months with 4 hours talk time and 1.5gigs data.

My biggest gripe with Samsung devices is the asking price for what offers nothing a huawei doesn't. And then people have the nerve to actually feel smug about this generic kark ?

I was tempted once to get an iPhone, luckily I woke up and realised it was a nightmare.

On a serious Note, we all have different needs when it comes to phones. To those of us here the Note appeals to us because it fills that need. I don't think any of us here would call ourselves fans. You are not a fan just because you use a certain product.

I've owned nearly every brand of phone, except the iPhone. The iPhone doesn't appeal to me not because I don't like it, but because I love the versatility and the ability to customise my phone to my liking. I use a Note because it offers many features that I can actually use, especially for work.

Now let's all stop this silliness, and argue over things that actually matters.

I've had a iPhone before. The 4S. I've won it in a competition.

Used it for 3 months and when my contract was due for upgrade I got a Galaxy S3. Since then I've never looked back.

The iPhone is just not for me.

I would also like to add. I played with the Note4 today. I'll have to say that I'll keep my Note3 and wait for the Note5.

Fair enough.

I have a question, why did they bring out the "new" note, if they "update" a few things, and take others away?
Take the usb connection as a example, why downgrade from USB3 to 2 in this day and age?

They also use a 9volt charger to charge the device quicker, what will happen to all your 5volt devices when you plug the wrong cable in? If they want to change the voltage, shouldn't they change the connector type as well?

Imagine if every manufacturer only came up with their own innovations and never ever copied everyone else to keep up with competition..

The only car with ABS brakes would be a Merc.
Only Sony would have CD players.
The only production car would be a Ford.

Without pouring through google these are three great examples. Who cares if something is copied or created after a different manufacturer? You may as well never buy a car with ABS because Mercedes created it.

If you feel so negative about Samsung as a brand then I am sure there are many Apple forums to share your negativity.

So why you here?

Yeah its great for people to all share and borrow. Except Samsung only borrows (steals) and never puts anything into the share pile. Fine. Don't lose sleep. But also don't go around feeding the bogus idea that Samsung is at the forefront of technology. Don't be smug that you buy and use Samsung. It's nothing better than buying huawei.

Good question, can you charge with the old 5v chargers? I would guess putting the 9v into an older phone could fry it

The phablet has been around since 1993. Go read the wiki "history of the phablet." The stylis was around in the 80's.

What is the "note idea" ?

A hybrid between a phone (already invented ) and a tablet (already invented) ? Limited to nothing more than a size difference really. Even if Samsung did come up with the idea it's hardly a great or even interesting one. Its a big phone or a small tablet. Wow....that blows your mind ?

Then give htc the credit. Read the wiki.

Great company htc actually. They deserve a spot not at the top but at least on the list of innovative companies. A list samsung has in it "research and development " department of companies whose devices it has or will copy. Yay.

To flesh that out after apple introduced multi touch the first phone to incorporate it via android was the htc hero.

I mean if you must support and "fan" an android manufacturer then go for htc or motorola. Both companies don't have a pirate philosophy to winning the tech war and actually spend the resources trying to be innovative and not just steal others ideas and then spend your resources on marketing to the sheeple instead.

So in the last two days I was using a lot of mobile network data rather than WiFi and noticed my Note 4 simply wasn't picking up LTE, so while shopping at Fourways Mall I popped in to Vodashop and they activated my LTE services on my SIM, turns out they forgot to do this when I was upgrading on the launch night. Now my Note 4 is picking up LTE all over, even places where my iPad 4 can't keep a stable LTE connection my Note 4 manages to keep a stable and ludicrously fast LTE connection :D so happy

So that's a tip for those who came from a non-LTE phone to a Note 4 e.g. If you're coming from an Exynos S4 or Exynos S5, ensure they activate LTE services on your sim before walking out.

Also walked in to iStore to try out a iPhone 6 Plus next to my Note 4, the employee seemed impressed by the Note 4 as I used it along side the 6 Plus, as I use floating apps :D a level of multitasking iOS will see only in about 5years time, had WhatsApp and Facebook going while browsing in Google Chrome :D the couple next to me who were looking at the iPhone 6 that the guy gave them to look at also kept glancing at my Note 4, the husband's eyes would simply not leave the Note 4 who sort of looked at me like he wanted to give it a go, but I had shopping bags and was in a rush to just go after playing with the 6 Plus and confirming to myself after using it that it is merely a 'me to' and nothing unique in its functionality unlike the Note 4 :)

Worst part is the 6 Plus has a 5.5inch display, no stylus, a smaller camera, a smaller battery, etc....yet it's still about the same size as the Note 4 with its 5.7inch display, and there's barely anything in the 6 Plus that is missing in my iPad or a 5S, it is literally just a bigger display, functionality, screen real-estate use etc...are pretty much the same, that goes for the 6 to, you are literally just getting a bigger display and nothing much else, not even 4K video recording, or more RAM to multitask, no special multitasking or Phablet type Productivity apps, such a shame. Explains why we have an LG user, licking Apples ass in a Samsung thread, bitterness, that's all it is. :)

Sry man. I stopped reading at Htc in first sentence. This is an Android thread with you comparing it iPhone.

I also see in the iPhone thread you say Android users will be coming over to the iPhone 6? Especially if they care about their image?

Omf..

Anyway..

Apple built iPhone 6 to try get a bit of the market the Note has.

Fact.
Try stay on topic..
