you can try force update by doing.

1. Clear Data from Google Services Framework Data ( Home/menu/settings/apps/all/google services framework/ , Some Google Applications might crash )
2. Go to Software updates (note that time has reset to 1969)
3. Click Check for updates
 
I'm on MTN and I tried the OTA last night and it was super slow. Will try again tonight.
 
Nice move Samsung. My nephew has a high end SonyEricsons model running Android 2.3 gingerbread. He is still waiting for an upgrade to ICS. Seems many manufacturers just don't care.
 
... and still nothing for my galaxy tab 10.1. tried a jb version and it sucked, so went back to honeycomb.
 
The update notification popped on my note on Tuesday the 31st around 2am and I upgraded right on the spot. I am happy as this little machine is now running like a dream; the only problem is the battery life which has significantly dropped since the upgrade. I just have to visit the market and get the right App to assist in that regard. There is significant improvement in various aspects of the phone.
 
Updated via Kies last night. Took a while, waited >1hr then I went to sleep. All seems fine this morning.
 
Tried to do my flat mates' Note last night, took 1+ hour to "Compile" I suppose before the phone said "Downloading" on it. Then Windows threw a hissy fit saying the phone isn't recognized, try again... GRR, it started with the 1+ hour thing again and we just gave up at that stage
