Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 Review (MyBroadband)

Everything is a work in progress. I miss the days of Nokia Symbian when everything was just there. That Ovi store is useless but in all honesty you don't really need it because everything a business user would need on his phone would be there. It might be outdated, but Symbian is/was extremely efficient.

Android is really frustrating me these days.

have to come to the SGS2's defence here for the score you gave the battery life...

last charged the phone saturday night, battery is still lasting.... like i mentioned in the other thread, 3g is off, mobile network data is off, mainly use wifi to connect online, auto-updates are off as well. AND I'm not raping the usage out of the device... the same sort of usage on my ex DHD used to get me 1.5 days or so...

I agree a power user will not see more that a full days battery life, but thats if he really tries to use up that battery...

What do you mean by mobile network data off ? did you put the phone in n offline state ?

How was the battery life after a good couple of charge cycles because i know that should do some good?

I got a used device, so I figure that it had been through a few charge cycles. Even after a few of my own charge cycles the maximum life I got out of the battery with minimal use was 24 hours or so.

I for one am certainly looking forward to seeing how the HTC Sensation stacks up against Samsung’s powerhouse.

I'll second that. My mind still isn't made up between the two.

:D It does pack less oomph, but let's see what HTC brings to the table with their multimedia "superphone".

From what I've read online, the HTC will disappoint you after you've spent time with the S2 :)
It's not a bad phone at all, just doesn't match the S2.

I turn data or wifi on when I need it (takes 2 seconds to do this) and I can get up to 5 days on my battery, longest was six days.

No, phone is online... Just doesn't connect using hspa, edge or 3g for data. Like I said, I mainly use wifi.

You guys should definitely root and try a rom like Oxygen. I leave autosync on, and instead of switching data off completely i switch to 2g. In a day i use no more then 30% of my battery.

If i leave them off, i use a few percent only.

Gingerbread is quite efficient.

Certainly the best Android phone out today. It's processor&graphics is just as fast as the Apple A5! It's got a brilliant screen - Super AMOLED and they fixed that Pentile thing.

As fast as... lol by the time an apple cell gets the dual core processor we will be talking about kal el quads in android and windows mobile will still be an also ran with 5 percent market share.

Eating gingerbread off my Galaxy S, baked by Darky.
