I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 and a samsung galaxy s2 and a digiland android tablet and the digiland tablet has the latest update on it if I compare it to the galaxy tab. If i could root one of the android devices it would be the digiland device but i know zip about rooting devices but if there was a 1-root option where just downloading an app and clicking a button did everything, then I would be there in a flash.
I'm never buying a Samsung tablet again. I have the Tab 3 7" stuck on 4.1.2.

I used the cyanogen 1 click installer. Worked fine for me. But only if you are still on stock rom. If you have already put a custom rom it will probably not work. Then you have to flash manually.

I see we have a new thread for this beast of a phone.

I still use mine 3 years after I bought it. Currently running cyanogenmod 11 and bought a 3500mah battery. Feels like a new phone.

Where did you buy the battery and is it any good? I'm on the lookout for a new one.

Dont do it. Messed my phone up I had to factory reset and installed the CM 11 Nightly build this morning. That update downloads but then when you need to install it fails, then keeps reminding you that update is available.

Hmm. Got the notification as well, but now I'm not sure. Will have to do backups first. Will see if I can do it during the week. You also used the installer for your previous version?

Yip, left it on the stable CM 10 version but updated to CM 11 this morning. Though I might as well seeing as I had to reset anyway.

If anyone has purchased a battery from dx.com or aliexpress did they send your battery with tracking number or ordinary post - did you've to pay taxes?

Rather get one via importitall.co.za.

An original 1650mah stock battery from a Samung SmartCare centre (one at 14th Avenue) is R250 incl. VAT

I did the update last night, installed fine. But on startup had an endless loop of "systemui has stopped". Could'nt do anything. Eventually rebooted to recovery and wiped the cache and system. Restarted fine but then also had to set up phone again. Everything on sd card was still there though.

Yeah that update is messed up, think there is a thread on the cyanogen forums on this problem.
