Samsung Galaxy S21

Samsung officially starts rolling out One UI 4 with Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 family

Over the past few weeks Samsung has been testing the update to One UI 4 based on Android 12 in public on members of its Galaxy S21 flagship smartphone family, and today is finally the day you've all been waiting for. The company has announced that it's officially rolling out One UI 4 to the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. This comes mere hours after an inadvertently posted rollout schedule first revealed that these handsets would get the update this month.

As usual with such things, while the rollout starts today, expect it to take a few weeks to reach every single device out there.

But wait, there's more. There's also a new update headed to the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2, and Galaxy Watch3 wearables that will enable "users to enjoy enhanced health features and new watch faces".

Any feedback on the usefulness of the update?

I recently upgraded to the S21+, I like the performance, I like the camera (zoom is amazing), but the battery life... My 2 year old Huawei P30 outlasts my brand new S21+ while my Huawei runs a battery intensive game afk (Black Desert Mobile) and my Samsung only had WIFI hotspot on.
I've disabled/reduced a whole bunch of stuff like some of the wake functions/ enabled dark mode/ Always on display-off / reduced refresh rate to 60 Hz and it's still draining way too fast for the amount I'm using it...
Anyone else experiencing the same? Or anyone has some advice?

Also happy Friday! Cheers
Agreed, battery life is ****.
I also googled and disabled a few things.
Problem I have is that overnight battery drain is around 10%. I think that's too much
Any fixes for this?

Been on the beta since it came out as well as the official release. For me it is a huge improvement all round. Feels much more fluent all round as well. Haven't had any major issues with it as well.

Overall really smooth and snappy. Not wowed as much as i first was when i jumped into the beta but i still appreciate the improvements over one ui 3.1
Still takes a small bit to apply colour palette to icons just like the beta but that's just a nit pick.

Hi All

Is anyone still awaiting their Buds and Tracker since purchasing a S21?

I have been waiting since February.

Samsung just give me the run around or don't answer.

Eish, that's a long wait!

Any apps broken with the update to android 12? My fnb app stopped working after I updated today.

Yeah FNB/RMB apps not working as well after the update - even after a reset.
My software PDA ends in BUK7

I've actually had increased battery life.
I used the 85% battery limit - and with that I get consistently about 5-6 hours of SoT (Standard S21).

There is a bug in the adaptive refresh rate - it immediately tanks to 60Hz in some apps after you lift your finger off the screen. Looks terrible when scrolling etc.
