Samsung Galaxy S22

Im also not getting OTA updates. Do I need to format the phone to manually flash XFA? Id like to do it but dont want to go through the hassle of setting up my apps again.
You don't need to format the phone.
When flashing the XFA firmware, just make sure to use "home_csc" which will retain all your data, instead of "csc" which will wipe your phone

So my metal desk lamp fell over onto my S22 Ultra and smashed the screen. Luckily I have Premuim Care+. Its a pain in the *** none the less.
Let us know how long the repair takes and the overall process.

If you took out Samsung care with your phone (R2500 for the S22U when I took it out more than 2 years ago) you need to supply that document along with a proof of purchase document that you can get from your service provider (even if the phone is on contract).
I also had to pay R1000 upfront as co-payment when I booked it in.

It took about 3 days to have it repaired but there was a issue with Samsung having to extend the warranty because the phone is more than 2 years old.
They eventually told me I could collect the phone while they sort it out with Samsung. I dropped it off on Monday and collected on Friday last week.

I used FX Cellular and they did a good job, I got a new frame and a new battery as well.

Great thank you for the feedback.

OK, the "circle to search" anything on screen is really cool and useful.

Editing of photos is interesting I guess, don't really understand what it's going to do ahead of time though.

Nice to see the phone supported for a decent period of time. Plan is to keep the phone for at least 4 years.

Yeah, I am looking to get the S25 Ultra, but need to get married first.

To me it is just Google lens, without the extra steps

@Park@82 did you notice an improvement in battery life with the new battery? I feel my battery has lost a bit of capacity

I have switched to the adaptive power saver mode and it working quite well. I am getting better battery life than before 6.1

It does feel a lot better but it would be very hard to quantify. I also reset it to factory defaults before handing it over for repairs. So a lot of stuff that may have been causing background battery drain may have been wiped in the process...

I had my phone since March 2022 and I was using it with the protect battery option enabled which limited charge to 85% and battery saving enabled since I got it. But I sometimes charged it multiple times per day so there would have been plenty of cycles on it by now.

I now limit it to 95% via "Modes and Routines", and I am currently using it with power saving disabled.

My understanding with regards to battery longevity is that it it worse for a battery to drain to 0% than for it to be charged to 100%. So I try to charge it before it gets to around 20%. I never let it go to 0. Also try to avoid charging it when it is warm, heat is not good for batteries.

I have not taken care of my battery. Charging at fast charge 2.0 to 100%. So really feeling the drop in performance. Luckily I can still claim for a screen on my Premium Care.
