They are giving a R1000 voucher.

Looking at the S24.

I prefer smaller phones. Besides the Zenfone/Pixels (which both don't retail in SA) there's no competition.

Only issue with the smaller phones is the battery life sucks. Big time.

I regretted not upgrading from the S22 to the S23 (considering it has 200mAh extra). If the S24 is slightly bigger, it won't matter to me as long as the battery is better/more efficient.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series to get 7 years of software updates

Samsung will adopt Google’s update strategy of 7 years of updates

In addition to the promo images, a few more leaked details showcase Samsung’s commitment to its flagship devices. For starters, Samsung will be adopting Google’s update strategy launched with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

This means that if you buy a Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, or Galaxy S24 Ultra, you’ll get updates for 7 years. Presumably, this means not just security updates, but updates with new features and updates for the OS version of Android. This is a big deal. Because with Samsung onboard, other smaller or less popular OEMs may adopt the same strategy for updates going forward.

It feels like yesterday that I got my S23, granted I only got it at the end of March. Before that I had an S8 for just over 6 years.

I feel like the S23 can last 6 as well. Especially if the S24 will be mainly AI features. Alas I am not the target market I guess

I could be wrong and hope I am wrong. All the reputable leakers are saying.

"And if the launch of the Galaxy S22 in 2022 is anything to go by, the upcoming Galaxy S24 and S24+ will share the Exynos and Snapdragon chips as follows:"

AKA no insider info related to the S24 series but just assumptions from a launch 2 years ago lol

The leak from Evan Blass a few weeks ago shows some impressive hardware. XDA will be waiting to unleash some impressive roms.
