Ever since the weekend I have been struggling to charge my S3. Sometimes when the phone feel like it, it charges.

I couldn't get the phone to charge on the 2 chargers at home or with my car charger. Here at the office it's charging via the usb from my laptop.

And no, the phone hasn't been dropped or been near any water. Any known issues with this? How do I overcome this problem?

Are you using the charger that came with the phone ? Or some generic one.

The one's at home are my old HTC chargers and in the car its a generic one from Vodacom. These have been working fine the last few months.

The one working at the office is the original Samsung cable.

I had a similar problem. What I did was

1. Let my battery drain to 0 and have the phone switch off.
2. Pull the battery out for about 10 minutes.
3. Put the battery back and while it's still off, charge it to 100%.
4. Turn it back on.

This worked for me.

I'm going to try this because my phone doesn't want to charge again and it's sitting on 30% now.

No luck with this phone. It's dead again. I can't get it to charge at all with any charger, original or not.

I'll have to take a trip to Vodacare.
