So the S3 has finally landed on our shores and Me want it very BAD!!

The reason for this post is that im currently a student so its natural to go out and seek the "best bang for buck" deals on the phone since om still leaching of my parents.

Ive done alot of snooping on deals on the phone stretching from buying it cash to the various contracts available.

To come to my point is Ive come across a deal where you can get the S3 on a Vodacom Everyday of peak 120 for 135 pm and with only a R3699 pay in. Its a cheaper pay in than any other contracts...see link http://www.elitemobile.co.za/deals/?/phones/Samsung_Galaxy_S3_I9300/14970/&ref=browse/smartphone

What do you think? Is there any better deals to consider in my student lifestile situation? And what does the contract mean? Like R135 worth of airtime per month or like only 120 free minutes or both? (sorry noob at this, but i want to be sure before i make my descision).

Thanks in advance guys.

S3

Gonna go with Abzo here! Anyway, look at an S2, the reason I say this is, although the S3 is a large leap from the S2, there's a whole whack of "innovations" that you just don't use but pay for. For instance the motion control, it's cool but to be honest it's also a little gimmicky.
Also unless you have a smart TV, then the photo to TV thing (which I didn't know about) is another unused but paid for feature!

The S2 is still an epic device that won't kill you budget wise! It has most of the "usable" features of the S3 and with the R3600 odd Bucks you were going to use as a deposit, you can get hold of one fully paid and keep the subscription cash for data bundles!!

My 2c.

+1.

I would even say that it is debatable as to whether the S3 is a massive leap over the S2 in terms of real world performance or not.

Hmm some valid points there :p, any thoughts about the HTC one X? Its also very cheaper, where im starting to think the s3 is over featured and overpriced.
