Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE price, launch window for SA

So the proper fully featured S4 is not available yet ?

So in a way HTC did pip them to the post after all. Again.

Why can't Samsung just make one phone with the better processor and LTE combined? This is where Apple is miles ahead of Samsung. Everything is integrated!

What's the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (ZA)?
Sounds like the GT-I9505.

AFAIK, there were two models of the S4 released.

Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 and Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505.

The GT-I9500 is powered by Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa chipset.
The GT-I9505 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 600 chipset.

They are both LTE capable.

The main difference is I9505 has better battery life.

See gsmarena.com for a comparison:

... but then Apple choose to limit via software.

Different needs for different folks, with different prices to accommodate every income bracket. That's where Samsung can be differentiated from the rest of the flock. That is variety at its best as demanded by us the consumers.

Not sure if limit is the right word. Apple have a very different philosophy, to say Samsung, on what makes a good product ...

i9500 does lte on all bands, its just locked , korea i9500 has lte unlocked, maybe someone should unlock it for the i9500 users :p

korea i9500 has lte unlocked
In Korea they sell/use the SHV-E300, not the i9500. Both use the Exynos 5 Octa but support very different cellular modem capabilities (unknown whether differences are implemented in hw or fw).

I'm curious to know, all you guys holding off or choosing another phone, what do you plan to use your LTE phone for?
