I'm on the Indian rom and got the update about two weeks ago, I think. I'm also noticing worse battery life life and I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, but some stability issues. It seems like apps crash more frequently and some oddities occur from time to time.

Which rom version? I'm on XXUFNE7.

Teenage girl awakes to find her Samsung Galaxy smartphone smoldering under her pillow after burning her bed.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...artphone-smoldering-pillow-scorching-bed.html

The 13-year-old girl was recently awoken by her Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone smoldering silently but pungently under her pillow.

She told KDFW she placed the phone under the pillow before she fell asleep. Later that night, she smelled something burning.
'I didn’t think much of it, so I went back to sleep and then I woke up again and it was more prominent,' Tolfree said.

Under her pillow, she discovered her phone charted and partially melted. Her sheets, mattress and pillow were also scorched.
Her father said the phone must have overheated, causing the battery to swell and start a small fire.

A spokesperson for Samsung told the Fox affiliate that the battery inside the phone was a replacement unit and not an original Samsung battery.

Samsung cautions in its 'Common Phone' warranty guide on its website that third-party batteries shouldn't be used and also specifically warns in the phone's manual against covering the device with bedding or anything. It could cause a fire, it states.
'If anything, they should put a big warning on it, like a cigarette label, if that’s the case,' Thomas Tolfree, the girl's father, said.

Samsung said they take any instance of a battery fire 'very seriously' and requested that the phone be mailed to the company for a full investigation.
The company has offered to replace the phone, the bedding, the mattress and pillow.

Good on Samsung to offer to replace the phone and bedding, even though they ignored the safety warnings and had an after market battery installed.

I once had mine charging and as I fell asleep it probably got worked under the pillow, that morning my pillow as insanely hot, the phone as well. I took the battery out and stuffed it in the fridge, all well now, no noticeable problems and it was the original Sammy battery

The other day, I felt like a hot sensation on my leg, felt it between my phone and my leg. Took it out when it felt like my leg was burning. Found that it was my flash that was on and it burned a hole in my pocket and left me with a burn mark on my leg. My pants almost caught fire. Wonder how my flashlight got on??

That's what I've been looking for. Is it from the dealer in Moldova? Let us know when it arrives.

I received my cover today about two weeks after placing the order. It fits nicely and feels great. Surprisingly, the phone feels more sturdy, premium. The cover also doesn't collect fingerprints like the original glossy ones. Even though the cover did not come in Samsung's original packaging, everything seems to indicate that the cover is an original Samsung part. If it's a counterfeit part, it's a very good one.

At the price (about R200) it might not be worth it to everyone, but I can recommend it to all looking to improve the perceived build quality of their GS4's.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to order one if they're still available.

Just more feedback after more time with this back cover. Earlier I neglected to say that it has a soft touch feel, almost like the back of a Nexus 7. Point being that it really makes holding the phone much more enjoyable. It also looks like the price is now lower than before, so I can wholeheartedly recommend this to all GS4 owners.

So turns out I'm getting an S4 + Gear 2 tomorrow. I'm thinking of flashing it to GPE, but will it still work with the Gear2?
