Haha, best you make 100% sure that your ADH cover is valid before you do that...
You world think that they would replace the bezel, but call it one claim against ADH.

The screen comes shipped already glued onto that bezel. the wider brushed look bezel will not be replaced.

Exactly. They can snap the old screen themselves once they have removed it for all I care.

I could kick myself for not going to a fully fledged Samsung repair centre this weekend past as I was up in JHB.

They would just turn you away.

They would never suggest that which the repair agents did... and as I said that bezel is glued/bonded to the ldc assembly. they cannot replace it seperately.

Time for me to get adventurous with my S4. I want Lollipop. Do I go for 5 or 5.01? From my quick catch up in this thread, Indian seems the way to go.

Does anyone have a faster download link for either of those ROM's compared to slow Sam mobile and will Samsung reject an ADH claim if my phone is running an Indian ROM?

I downloaded the 5.0.1 Indian ROM from sammobile q few months ago. Download was not too slow, I think. I don't think the Samsung will care/pick up on the Indian ROM. They'll probably just repair the phone.

Earlier in this thread, someone said Lollipop gave the S4 a new lease on life. Completely agree! I have loved my time with my S4 but am enjoying it even more with Lollipop. Will definitely keep me happy until either the Huawei P8 or Note 5 later this year.....

One question though: WTF does it take so long for SA devices to receive new firmware? What reason could there be for India to get a Lollipop update so much sooner than SA? Could it be that our operaters don't want our devices updated so that they can rather increase sales through retention upgrades to newer devices?

It's Samsung SA, I spoke to someone who works for Samsung a while ago, it's a strategy they use to get you to buy their latest phone instead of keeping your current phone. S4 owners in particular will be looking to upgrade now so they want you to get the S6. The good news is that now that the S6 is available they should release it soon. If you got Lollipop before the release then you might notice that they're pretty similar and not bother to get the S6.

For the time being I'm sticking with my S4 personally and moving to prepaid. In practical, daily terms there's nothing that the S6 offers that will change my life from my S4 - battery life is only slightly better, music will sound the same, browsing the Web will be the same, the human eye can't perceive the extra pixels on the screen, I haven't found any games that my S4s processor can't handle, the design is certainly better but that disappears when you put a cover on it plus it's physically a lot bigger, camera is certainly better, but I hardly use my current camera. I'll wait for a price decrease and reconsider the S6 then.

With Lollipop, I see the sound menu (when pressing volume rocker) has the ringtone at the top, media at the bottom and the interruptions blah blah in the middle. Is there a way to get the notifications volume slider into that menu like it was before?

Hi guys,

I followed these instructions. But I've now downloaded this and want to know what's the best way for me to install it? Should I unroot and flash a stock recovery? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks in advance...
