Hi Merc

Hows the testing of the new Rom going ? how does it compare to I9500XXUHOC5 Saudi Rom ?
Very keen try one of them :)
Hey there

It's a tough one to call, but I feel the Saudi version was smoother, but only just. INU also has a weird lag after backing out of applications, which causes Nova launcher to hang for a second before you can see the screen. It has to be the ROM because I never had that issue on the Saudi ROM. I also had to reboot my phone today because at one point, it became firstly very, very slow then kinda stopped doing anything. I rebooted it and it's okay again. The good thing is that both ROMs have much better ram management than the initial Russian ROM. Overall, you can't really go too wrong with whichever ROM you choose. The differences aren't that noticeable.

You know what? This INU ROM definitely is not good. I can't wait for the next release. The Saudi ROM was definitely much smoother. SwiftKey is also acting up.

Two more issues: wallpaper gets removed at times; screen becomes unresponsive until you press the power button to turn off the screen and on again.

Just got a new battery from iFix Canal Walk but it doesn't fit my in S4. The old battery is B600BE and the new one is B600BC.
Old one says "assembled in Vietnam" and the new one says "assembled in China"

It seems the issue is with the bottom of the battery, the bottom plate seems to be the other way round on the new one... guess I have to take it back :(

I took mine to ADH for screen replacement, I was told about proof of purchase. Cool, I went to cell C and got some slip, the guy back at ADH said it's not comprehensive. Who has been successful in requesting a proper proof of purchase for a contract?

ok so I have a pretty interesting issue. wondering if anyone has done something similar.
I am rooted and running Clockwork recovery mod.
I am currently running Arrow rom. it has been working well, but something has caused my GPSD to go ballistic and I am an not getting more than 4 hours out of a full charge.
at first due to time constraints I have just tried to find the app that is causing the problem and uninstall it. short answer after a week, its not any of my apps its google play services. YAY(sarcasm)

so last night I downloaded the lollipop rom recommended in this thread.

this morning I do a snapshot with Clockwork, and I try to install from Zip.
Nothing, nada, zip. simply not happening
I restore the backup from Clockwork mod, and suddenly I get all those fun little pop ups saying google apps have stopped.
great.

so in short right now I have a phone with clockwork mod on it and no proper OS.
Anyone know a good Custom mod (hopefully Lollipop) that I can install from clockwork? I don't mind all the data I lost.

Guys, noob question:

I flashed lollipop 5.01 onto my i9500 - but having a ton of app force closes, wallpaper disappearing and battery issues.

Now - I've downloaded the latest available version, will I need to root the phone again to flash the new firmware or can it be done without rooting?

Flash without root if you're using Odin. You will need to re-root again after flashing the new ROM.
