Just thought I'd put this out there for any new Galaxy S4 owners. My Vodacom shop didnt inform me of this.

Samsung GS4's get free accidental handling cover (ADH) for 24 months, (eg. drop your phone and crack your screen, samsung will pay to fix it)

To register:

1. Get your IMEI number by dialling *#06# make a note of your IMEI
2. Create a new SMS and send REG*yourIMEInumber# to 34622

You should get a message back saying Thank you for buying a i9500, and then a 2nd message saying congrats your i9500 is now covered by ADH

Also, my overheating issues where caused by a corrupt file or 2 on my SD card that got the media service was trying to access. Formatted SD card and tried again and all issues are gone.

Where did you find the 34622 number from?
I don't feel safe sending my IMEI to an unknown number, the statement from the article regarding the ADH was:
"After purchasing the device, customers will need to register it through the e-Warranty service on the Samsung website."

So that's what i did

So that's what i did

I was in cellucity in Gateway looking for a cover and they told me. I confirmed it with telepage on the South Coast as well. It certainly seems legit to me.

Yeah, for the i9505 Snapdragon variant... We all have an Exynos i9500 version - CM is wishful dreaming for us at this stage.

Can the S4 read USB flash drives with a micro usb to female usb adapter? I tried using my "On-The-Go" one I got with my N8 but it doesn't fit...

Finally got my S4 today. What's the best custom ROM at the moment, Wanam or Omega? Always used wanam on my s2 and worked well. Just wanted something cleaned up and stable without all the bloatware.

The phone we are getting have unlocked bootloaders right?

I'm running Wanam - no complaints and it is nice and snappy.
