2GB will not last long with a full HD display.

I won't take advantage of Full HD display unless I am connected to a WI-FI with unlimited data available. :p Don't want the OOB (Out of Bundle shark to visit my pocket.

@kingrob prices are already coming on the Samsung S4, over the weekend 2 retail stores had the device selling for R6 grand cash, all sold out :(

2GB is nothing, you get games for Android about that size.

Yep, 3g will have to be for watsapp and email (and emergency gps).
Everything else will be Wifi.

Fortunately Telkom Mobile does not use the OOB shark - as soon as your data bundle is depleted, it takes you to the landing page to purchase additional data bundles.

Also considering all the firmware/software updates, 2GB is not much. I updated a friend of mine's S4, and after all her software/firmware/app updates, I had 8.4GB left of my 10GB TM 3G bundle.

*Must admit that she has never done any updates on her S4 since the day she got it. ;)

Brand Plus I love the fact that the OOB Shark doesn't exist on Telkom Mobile Network but still very sceptical when singing on the dotted line. - Hope that is true about the landing page - then I will have peace of mind signing on the dotted line.

@kingrob updated my iPad apps in total used 12 gig of data, 2GB is nothing now days and finding Telkom Mobile Network WI-FI hotspots aren't easy to come across in my area.

My friends airtime was always getting depleted cos in the background his apps were set to automatically update. I giggled! After spending 20 minutes in the restaurant with him solved his problem which a consultant couldn't even assist. Always people are complaining about their smartphones eating data but consultants don't even bother to help their customers. Such a nice guy that I even help strangers set up their phones to not allow them to get a bill shocker.

Consumers aren't educated enough when getting smartphones = data hungry there is a limitation if you aren't willing to spend R100 - 200 on data
Will I be charged the same rate for out-of-bundle rates, when my I’ve used all my In bundle data bundles?
A: No. All out-of-bundle data bundles are charged at a rate of 30c per MB.

If you want LTE or the download booster then go you'll need to go with a different provider. After speaking to the helpdesk about why I can't enable LTE on my S5 in an LTE coverage area they informed me that the phone does LTE to 2100Mhz but Telkom Mobile is on 2300Mhz......so no LTE for me unless I switch providers

The S5 on Telkom Mobile's network is the international 42Mbps HSPA+ version.

It's more than fast enough, trust me. ;)

Well, I have an S5 :D from TM incoming in the next 5 days or so. I did pre-order, and moaned at them yesterday via email that no one has contacted me since the phone was released. Was quite surprised to receive a call AND an email from them today to sign me up, heh! :)

Was actually considering MTN, as I am currently on Prepaid with them, but then my work ported to TM, and I have had no hassles with them. However, what finally convinced me to go with TM was that they operate on the MTN network, which I've had virtually no issues in the two years+ that I was on Prepaid.

My only concern with TM is the stories I've heard that you can't receive Int't SMSes (eg. from Google/Facebook), and to a lesser extent lack of LTE with the S5, not sure that I will notice the difference right now, tho'!

Never really been a huge Telkom fan, let's hope TM prove me wrong.
