Samsung Galaxy S6 vs LG G4

It's time for an upgrade and I wanted to find out what y'all think would be better to get: S6 or G4.

I quite like the build quality and size of the S6, but one thing that's stopping me from running out and getting it is that the first thing I want to do is root and install Cyanogen 13 (Marshmallow). I don't like Samsung and LG's UIs and prefer stock Android. It seems to be working on the G4 (going by XDA), but it's very limited for the S6. Does anyone know why? I read something about Samsung not releasing files. Since I'll be using it as a daily driver, I need full functionality.

I'm not sure how much longer I'd have to wait to see working Cyanogen 13 come to the S6.

On a separate note, has anyone heard about the G4 rebooting issue and recall? Wouldn't want to get a phone from a bad batch.

Any other advice in terms of which phone is better and why will be much appreciated.

I've heard the G4 is a lot more difficult to root though. Maybe ask about that in the G4 thread as I don't know the details :)

It does seem to be more complex and more prone to failure, judging from what I've found online, than I'm used to. I'm not sure why though. I rooted my Galaxy S4 with ease. Thanks :)

You do know you don't have to use the default launcher without rooting or flashing a cm rom
