It's Push USSD, don't think you can turn that off. Can you?

edit: after reading the thread it seems like it's sim messages... hmmm, not sure now.

Must say I am loving Nougat, Always On Display is now truly useful and Grouping of Notifications is very convenient, very happy with it so far.

Doze-On-the-Go also doing it's bit, the phone barely uses any battery in Stand By.

Hi Guys, Sister managed to crack the LCD on her s7 edge. Samsung wants R3900 to repair as this isn't covered under ADH. Anyone know where it can be repaired for cheaper?

I had my LG G3 repaired at TT3. They were good and cheap, and although it has been a year since it happened, it might still be worth giving them a call.

They also have a branch in JHB.

Lol, it's part of the background processes. When you lock tour phone it goes into a deep sleep, it was in Marshmallow but required the phone to be on a flat surface for a lengthy amount of time. In Nougat it does it even while in your pocket.

Does it play nice with AOD? Since then the screen is technically still on

My understanding is that AOD is a very lite process especially on a AMOLED diaplay, but either way I think if you want the full benefit of Doze you may have to turn AOD off.

Haha! I charge every night and some days twice a day I'll top up.

I am on my phone almost constantly, that's why I am all about power saving, I am always trying to find the best balance between long lasting battery and being able to utilise as much of my phone features as possible. As I am constantly on WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Skype (work), email (work & personal) and Facebook, as well as browsing forums on Tapatalk


Today I have power saving turned Off and Resolution at WQHD, with AOD On and Night Clock scheduled for later at night.

From here I will see what my setup will be going forward.
