Battery saving mode then? No one gets stats like you do, so there's got to be something you're doing that reduces performance or something. Do you have AOD enabled?

Hi Everyone. After ditching Apple, I got myself the Tab S2 and Galaxy S7.

Just 2 questions:

1. I bought a Vodacom contract S7 (has the startup Vodacom logo), but want to try Nougat. Must I wait until Vodacom pushes the update, or is there a firmware version I can use to flash? Does it influence in any way the workings of the phone on the network or warranty?

2. Finding a screen protector that works is a nightmare. First time I found this with a phone. Ever since putting on the Body Glove glass protector (full coverage - http://www.takealot.com/body-glove-...-guard-for-samsung-s7-gold-borde/PLID41473203), response on the screen is not what it used to be. I may be imagining things, but just seems not all touches are registered. Also in the middle it does not stick to the screen, which may attribute to the lack of responsiveness. The lady at the Vodacom outlet which installed the protector, said that the adhesive is only on the sides.

Now, with the Body glove ghost case, it works ok. But I now got myself a very sexy Spigen case (https://www.spigen.com/products/galaxy-s7-case-rugged-armor-black), and it is now much worse. I cannot see that the protector is lifted, but responsiveness is just not there.

Any suggestions on a protector that will work? I looked an Amazon also, and not one protector has a good review.

Thanks for reading.

From what I remember, Samsungs touchwizz has a feature in settings, where you can make the screen more sensitive and responsive. It is meant for folks in colder climates that use gloves while operating their phones, or that use covers that reduce the screen sensitivity. Go into settings...you should find it under display settings

Just a last quick question before I flash.

If I make a backup of the phone using Samsung Smart Switch, can I use this to restore after flashing Nougat?

Apple made it so easy with iTunes to backup and restore everything, just hoping Smart Switch is the equivalent.

Would only suggest samsung even if u pay more rather let them do it prob if u take it to the Pakistanis is I've seen them taking your original parts and selling it and putting in fakes..even we fix and all those they charge u a compulsory fee for checking the device then charge u for a generic battery and if they damage any other part in the phone they will say it wasn't their fault and charge u even more

Just quick feedback.
Backed up using Smart Switch.
Flash Nougat - option with OTA updates.
Restore via Smart Switch.
All there and working great.
Seamless process.

So i took my s7 edge in today (ADH Samsung), all went well except they would not give me a replacement phone, they said my insurance must take care of it.....
But it clearly states on South Africa's Samsung site, they smart switch the phone.........

My dad did the delivery, so i could not confront them, but before i do, just what to know from here .....?
Anyone else had experience before (ADH), have they maybe stopped that policy now (SMART-SWITCH) ?
spiZ

I understood loan phone to be part of the premium pick up drop off service, not walk in centres.

Cool, I need to use this... anyone know how efficient are they, turnaround time, etc...?

ADH Premium includes Smart Pick-Up and Smart Swap
Smart Pick-Up provides the owner of a premium Samsung Galaxy device with a collection and delivery service. The damaged device will be collected from the owner and returned upon completion of the repair.
The customer must call 0861 666*646 to submit an incident.
Smart Swap provides the device owner with a loan device of a similar premium quality Galaxy device to use whilst waiting for the repair to be completed. The loan unit will be delivered as part of the Smart Pick-Up offering.
