Did exactly this process as well.
Wow what an improvement with Nougat, love it!
(Flashed all 4 files, complete reset) AP, CSC, BL, CP.
Everything works perfectly, got a minor 90mb update shortly after.

Just quick feedback.
Backed up using Smart Switch.
Flash Nougat - option with OTA updates.
Restore via Smart Switch.
All there and working great.
Seamless process.

Does anyone watch movies or series etc... On their phones every now and then? I usually do it while flying, but also sometimes when in bed.

Been watching Sense 8, a Netflix series, the Display on this phone has made it such a pleasure to watch, it just looks so incredible especially with the Video Enhancer in Nougat, the display is just mind blowingly good.

This phone can run the X265 HVEC codec in 1080P flawlessly on this device

I travel a lot, so I always have something to watch. It is really good.

Funny thing though, my best ever SOT was during a day watching a series. 8h40 something. Ans bat was still 20%

What I have is H.265 720P, was to conserve space I guess, lol.

Samsung have always been on top of Video Format Support on their smartphones hey, like going back to the Symbian days, the i8510 Innov8 (N95 8GB competitor) had more video format support than anyone knew what to do with at the time, lol. Makes it easy to just gooi anything in and play. :)

That is excellent!
Makes for a great travel companion :D

And it just sips the battery while watching.

Not funny at all really if you think about it... yes, screen is the biggest user of battery, but so is data usage. When watching a video, you are using screen, but no data... with other scenarios of screen on time, like browsing facebook, tapatalk, twitter, chrome, you are using data all the time...

Cool, I need to use this... anyone know how efficient are they, turnaround time, etc...?
I booked mine on the 4th they are collecting it Monday. (shortage of loan phones).

Due to some scary stories here, I'm going to make a du recorder video of me running all hardware tests in the Samsung members app and in going to take a video of the phone with my s4 so they can't say there is any other damage besides the spiderweb on the front glass.

Obviously both will show time and date on the phone.

May even go buy a Sunday times tomorrow and do it on the front page (date reference).

True. I think I was in Singapore, so data would have been off anyway.

OK, now you have me worried :/ I'll need to take it in and do without a loan phone then as mid-March is when my 1 year warranty ends.

SSS Cellular in Boksburg replaced my screen. dropped of in the morning, fetched at 4pm. Phone is as good as new. Had a pink line going down the screen.

I called them, explained the situation, took it in an hour later, checked status on their web portal, fetched at 4pm. They Didn't even wipe my phone. Got it back, put sim in and nothing else was needed
Excellent service

Just called to find out when the collection will happen. Was told it's not happening today as they have no loan phones (tried to get me to give it to them without a loan phone again, I declined as I want a hostage due to other posts on mybroadband).

They say they will call me when one becomes available.
