This case is a pretty good, it doesn't just have the bottom and top lips that stick out to protect the Display but also the side lips are a tad more raised than onost other cases, therefore it prevents touching the Display edges when holding the phone in your hand.

I was looking around on my phone for the new Nougat update hoping that it would have come through.

However I noticed that Samsung had not updated any security patches since December 2016.
In this time Google has released 5 security patches which should have come through on the the S7 range.

Any one else notice ?

From their website:

Current Models for Monthly Security Updates¹:

Galaxy S series (S8, S8+, S7, S7 edge, S7 Active, S6 edge+, S6, S6 edge, S6 Active)
Galaxy Note series (Note 5, Note 4, Note edge)
Galaxy A series (A5 (2016), A5 (2017))

Yip, they also released May 2017 which was already push to US carriers.

I am currently sitting on 1 December 2016

Pushed to more than just US, have a look on Sammobile, quite a few with May 2017 (e.g. UK EVR, Netherlands PHN).

No one to blame but yourself if you're sitting on a crap firmware, it's very easy to fix ;).

Anyone still using S7 Edge, lol, or all moved to S8?

I'm not feeling the FOMO I used to feel before when I saw a newer Galaxy, S7 Edge still serving me so well, I just hope we get the Security Updates more frequently.

Same as my reply above, I presume your sitting on a deadend firmware and just complaining but not actually doing anything.

There are firmwares that get regular updates...

My (BTU firmware) S7 Edge is at Samsung being fixed under warranty. I had a look at the S8 and just wasn't that impressed. I think the next Note will do it for me.

Not at all impressed with the S8.
This phone will be IMO like the S6.
The S9 will be the one to go for
