I am running UK BTU firmware on my S6 and S7, thus cannot test even though I have VoLTE enabled on my sim.

Had no idea there was such a thing as 4G+, today while using my S7 Edge on LTE I saw 4G+ in the signal bar:

I'm on Vodacom, staying in the Fourways. Thought our networks still had basic LTE, considerihow backwards they are with their pricing.

Is this maybe LTE-Advance?

Hi Guys & Gals

The Official Nougat update for Galaxy S7 on MTN SA is finally available.

Enjoy!
Just got my phone back from Samsung. I was on the UK BTU, but Samsung had to change the motherboard so I was back on Marshmallow. I was very pleased to know I could update to MTN Nougat.

That's great news!

How did the motherboard get faulty? Dropped the phone?

Just got Nougat today. It's pretty cool but I prefer the way notifications looked on Marshmallow...

I have never dropped this phone, not once. In fact, my S7 edge has been in a Spigen protective cover from the day I got it.
What happened was it just stopped communicating with the computer. I plugged in the USB cable and got nothing. Then I found out that it would not fast charge using the wall adaptive fast charger. All I could do was slowly wireless charge.
As it was still under warranty I took it to Samsung, who finally fixed it over a month later.
So I have finally gotten my baby back, and it is now in a brand new UAG Ice case and feels like a new phone. :)

Nice one :D

I guess with these devices being so thin yet packed with powerful hardware and all that heat that is created, you are bound to get a few motherboards that start getting faulty.

Good day folks.
So, my wife's just tried to change her unlock patter of her Galaxy S7 and now the phone won't recognize her patterns at all and I can't figure out how to circumnavigate the issue. Anyone else had this and found a solution? Does it maybe have anything to do with the latest major software update this past week?

Thanks

Got these plastic things from a site dee kept mentioning for $1 each.

They are not that bad. Edges peel I just peel that edge a bit more and get the dust out with some sunlight and water and my fingers then stick it back.

Not invisible and not perfect but protects the screen.

I gave up on screen protectors. I just have a Speck cover with a raised lip, to ensure the display doesn't get damaged if dropped on its face.
