Like I said, I understand what it achieves, doesnt rooting void your warranty?
Who cares? Just unroot before taking your phone in for repairs. If you can't unroot it's probably too messed up for Samsung to check anyway.
I rooted my mom's S3 back in the day and even flashed custom firmware on it. When the screen needed replacing I flashed stock back on, unrooted and used Triangle Away to reset the custom flash counter. Had no issues with the warranty.
