Like I said, I understand what it achieves, doesnt rooting void your warranty?

Who cares? Just unroot before taking your phone in for repairs. If you can't unroot it's probably too messed up for Samsung to check anyway.

I rooted my mom's S3 back in the day and even flashed custom firmware on it. When the screen needed replacing I flashed stock back on, unrooted and used Triangle Away to reset the custom flash counter. Had no issues with the warranty.

It does, but you can get the official rom from Sammobile and flash it using odin and nobody would be the wiser.
In layman's terms, you download the software the phone had on when you bought it and put it back. :)

Knox on s7 likely more advanced than s5. Also I like Knox.

Day 1. This was with always on screen. So to answer the previous question, always on screen does not influence the screen on time.

Also noticed that the the always on screen gets shut down when your phone has been in your pocket for a while, which is good.

Are u guys using the always on screen

I know I am and Faniedry says he is.

On a side note, I hope to get my Gear VR today. I have been tracking it since yesterday when it was on the van and meant to be delivered but the van returned to depot at 17:44 last night. Hopefully they deliver the ones they couldn't deliver yesterday first thing today.

I am as well but been using this phone alot. When I'm not watching plex or playing games I'm playing with vr, in forums or social media or on the phone.

next time, post your screen on time as well... that's the deciding factor :)

nevermind, those BIG pictures made me miss it... over 8 hours? holy scheeet

Is that with everything on? screen on? edge/flat?

edit: and what have you been using your phone for with all the screen on time?

I turned off the always on display.
Not sure if it's just me but battery life is slightly better.

I got the flat, battery working well.
It is around 50% at the end of the day, with normal usage.

How is it possible to get 8hrs SOT? Reading a book on the kindle app or something? I can't see how it's possible, no matter how little you're actually doing. Unless your brightness is on the lowest setting possible

No idea. Most of my screen on time is reading a book. And I do that with play books. Black paper with white writing... hoping Michellej tells us her secret.
