South Africa's favourite TV brand

Samsung is South Africa's favourite brand for TVs and large appliances, while EcoFlow and Duracell dominate the portable power station and battery market.

In South Africa, the preferences of early adopters and IT professionals play a significant role in shaping the tech landscape, and a recent Analytico survey has shed light on the most popular brands among this influential group.

Iswear , The amount of liars on this forum is breath taking because in all the best products arguments, Samsung is always at the receiving end of poor products but now the Surveys says they are the best.

For a country where only 13% of registered license holders actually pay their TV license, and where millions more don't even bother getting a TV license, how are all these TV retailers staying in business?

Vanity purchases from the black middle class.

Must be a marketing/perception thing in SA making people love Samsung TV's so much.
Unless you're going high-end their TV's are trash, when I hear about someone whos TV gave up the ghost my first question is always "Was it a Samsung?"... and without fail the answer is almost always yes.

It's often marketing in my experience, if a poorer brand does that job well at least, then they win the market. Strange how the better producers don't then match it.

We all contact a guy called "Lisensie Leon".
He's still paying his license and is happy lending it out.

Nope - I stopped paying for that useless piece of SABC toilet-paper in 2015 - when the analogue signal was SUPPOSED to be turned off & all of my audio/video equipment SHOULD have ceased being able to receive ANY of their televisual bullcr@p.... ;)

I'm still annoyed with this.
My bill is now stagnant, they still try to harass me now and again but they're no longer increasing the amount owed... I wanted to at least hit the 10K mark 'cause round numbers make flexing so much cooler.

P.S. Last time I paid was the year I joined myBB (the biggest LCD TV I could find locally back then was a 48-Inch Sinotec)

For once in my life, I surprised myself and bought a TV license and I am happy to be a law abiding and exemplary citizen. I will be sharing with my fellow citizens because sharing is caring especially in these tough economic times.
