check google first. a computer shop told me I should just buy a new laptop when my Toshiba stopped charging. I was like :wtf:. got a part for R250. replaced the charging pin using two youtube videos. first time I performed open heart surgery on a laptop. changed the charging pin. was always afraid to work on a laptop but its not that complicated.
sweated a bit though.
Also, What would be the correct terminology for that part?
I got it on the first for woman online shop. came across it on my search. imported from the states. they handled all tax and everything. and got it here in record time as well. I was most impressed.
link to site?
My friend reckons he can do the job with a similar part. ( ie. another broken laptop of a different brand and model... ) not keen on that option though.

don't be put off. they are very efficient. I remember lots of pink and stuff. lol.
The part has arrived. Will get my friend to help install it![]()
Thanks bro, I've placed my order with 'em. Total came up to R260 including delivery fees.
Now, I wait...
Thanks Ponder. I've spoken to my buddy and he will sort it out. I'm dropping it off this afternoon.Geez, R260 seems steep for something that should not cost more than R50 at most.
If you were close by I would also do it for you.

and Yeah, it was imported which is why it came to R260. Didn't know of any local retailers who stock the part...
