Samsung launches world-first 240Hz 4K monitor

Samsung Electronics has launched its latest line of Odyssey gaming monitors, including a 32-inch 4K version with a 240Hz refresh rate — the G85NB.

The curved monitor was the winner of the Best of Innovation in the gaming category at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2022.

This is exactly what I was looking for 8 months ago before I settled on a 32" 60Hz 4K display :( Oh, well, at least it saved me from having to buy a new graphics card to be able to output that resolution/refresh rate.

Gotta wonder who the market is for this thing

30K monitor + you need a 40K GPU

but these things become mainstream over time, so bring it on

I am also sure that LG and AU Optronics could have beaten Samsung to market, but they are exploiting mainstream demand. I do expect Asus and Gigabyte to chase Samsung to market, Viewsonic, maybe, but they aren't targeting our market.

Why can't I find this monitor in South Africa? The monitor is already expensive on Amazon without the import taxes added. Same goes for the Neo G7
