Hi All

Now that I am on prepaid and need to keep my old S4 running, is it possible to buy a new battery ? I have seen Raztech offer some compatible batteries for R249. This seems acceptable has anyone does this and was there a big improvement?

or is the battery drain just because its an old phone running new apps?

regards

Don't bother buying original. Samsung offers no warranty on batteries.

Bought the exact same battery through takealot, it didnt show any difference so I returned it. I suspect it was because my S4 was old.

Thats what I am worried about. Done battery tests and have 2 older models at home and nothing changes drastically.

I bought a new s4 battery at vodacom. Was also around R250. Works well. Phone lasts all day now compared to 3 hours on old battery.

My colleague bought one of those Raztech batteries from Takealot. Whenever you took a photo, the phone shut down. Put in the old battery and the phone didn't shut down.

He ended up ordering the original battery from Samsung at a cost of about R600.
