Samsung Tab4 SM-T231 (KOT49H.T231XXU0ANE2) 4.4.2 to lollipop or marshmallow on mac

Hey guys,

I'm really struggling to upgrade my little girls Tab 4.
I'm not sure if samsung supports the upgrade or not, but being stuck on kitkat has it's limitations.
The device wont store games on the external memory & keeps saying it has no disk space when trying to update games.

Do you know of any hack to get the thing upgraded to lillipop or marshmallow?
Kies 2.6 does nothing exept a backup or restore, I don't see my model number on SamMobile
I've gone the classic route in the bout device > upgrade, but it says it's on the latest version, which we all know is B.S.

Any help will be appreciated

That xda site is pretty confusing, I found a way to root the Tab 4, but not really sure if there is a way to upgrade to lollipop, quite a lot of jargen is being used, don't want to brick the thing
