Am I the only one that doesn't really care about this?

Im quite happy with my normal 1080p LED

Glad I'm not the only one asking that question.
Why would I need a bendable Flat screen TV?

Its a step in the direction of curved OLED smart phones...

That is an area of technology that excites me immensely.

I don't get it first convex TV's were bad so now they're flat, now flat is bad and we need to go concave! What happens to the people sitting towards the side of the TV, they'll get a nice view of the case but that's about it...

And don't start with curved smartphones, yes they may feel more comfortable on your face for the 5% of the time you use your phone as a phone... The rest of the time scrolling will be a nightmare, typing a lesson in carpel tunnel and a yearning for the old days when phones didn't wobble on tables.
