Yeah because all the looters have uncapped fibre lol
maybe they looted some ONT's?
or they finally want to watch netflix on a TV not on a tiny Phone screen. and connect their newly looted TV to the internet.

but then again, the Pakistani guys who reactivate stolen phones do this thing for a living.
how hard is it to do it for TV's?

So they can only block smart TV's? only when they connect to the internet,I think this feature is useless.
Really? How else you think can they block it without the internet? Sending a magic command through the air to the tv serialno.?

Since they got the tv for free, the looter can just buy a tv box, if he wants to have smart features.

Do you actually think the looters give a damn about the smart features?

Samsung should just have said nothing and proceeded. It's as dumb as the US government telling MSM that they're going to bomb their equipment left in Afghanistan.
legal nonsense prevented them from just doing it,
I'm sure smart TV's left in Afghanistan will also stop working soon enough, if some clever goat herder hasn't figured out a way to use it without internet.
