Ate you referring to the people who left the door open? If so then it's an inside job. If it's not an inside job then it's a hack.

Chances are good that some cadre officer clicked on a link that said he is the beneficiary of a Nigerian prince's, aunties, second cousins whole inhertance of millions.

In a statement on Saturday, 2 September 2023, the SANDF said the incident was the work of "criminal syndicates within the cyberspace" aided through information leaked from the department.

What does this matter? In terms of POPIA this is all the same - hacked from the outside or leaked from the inside. The department, legally, had to have procedures and safety in place in order to prevent this from happening. Someone needs to be fired and jailed and millions of Rands fines need to be paid by the Department, even if they are broke. Retrench some useless soldiers, which will not be a difficult pick, to make up for the fines.

Are we sure though? This could be the work of some old apartheid peoples who are looking to make a mockery of the SANDF?

I mean anything is possible here...

I doubt that the SANDF (and SA's DOD) need any assistance there.
