I don't think CNN ever claimed that obama was not born in the USA?
Lou Dobbs from CNN did, google it.

And when CNN finds they have published something wrong, they actually print a retraction.. How often do the likes of Fox News do that?
The Fox Guy?Lou Dobbs from CNN did, google it.
Louis Carl Dobbs (born September 24, 1945) is an American political commentator, author, and former television host who presented Lou Dobbs Tonight from 2003 to 2009 and 2011 to 2021. Since 2021, he hosts The Great America Show on iHeart Radio and loudobbs.com.[1]
Dobbs started working with CNN at its inception in 1980, serving as a reporter and network vice president. On the air, he served as host and managing editor of the network's business program, Moneyline, which premiered in 1980. The show was renamed Lou Dobbs Tonight in 2003. Dobbs resigned from CNN in 1999 but rejoined the network in 2001. He resigned once again in November 2009. He is the former talk radio host of Lou Dobbs Radio. From 2011, he hosted Lou Dobbs Tonight on the Fox Business Network until its cancellation in February 2021.[2][3]
Dobbs was an early promoter of Birtherism, a conspiracy theory which falsely stated that former U.S. President Barack Obama is not a natural born US citizen. He is known for anti-immigration views, as well as for opposition to NAFTA and other trade deals. A staunch Donald Trump supporter, he infused his show with pro-Trump coverage.[4][5][6][7] He was one of three Fox Corporation program hosts named in a $2.7 billion defamation suit by Smartmatic relating to false conspiracy theories used in attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election.[8][9]

Many other people on CNN said called it nonsense at the time..it was never the official stance of the networkA claim was made wrt CNN, it was wrong.
CNN employing people with disparate and different views would usually be seen as a good thing... Or do you think that everyone working for CNN should be told exactly what to say? I'll bet if CNN had fired Dobbs for saying that, conservatives would have been bellowing about the suppression of alternate viewpoints...Problem is, Dobbs’ own colleagues at CNN have refused to give credence to the suggestion that Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii.
CNN.com called it a “debunked theory” in a June 11 report, and CNN contributor Dana Milbank mocked it during the Dec. 8 edition of CNN’s Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull, according to Media Matters. And, on Dec. 5, CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin called the questions about Obama’s eligibility “total bull.”
They’re not the only ones. On July 17, CNN’s Kitty Pilgrim thoroughly knocked down the birth certificate myth in an appropriate setting — while sitting in as guest host of Lou Dobbs Tonight. Questions about Obama’s place of birth “have been asked and answered many times,” Pilgrim said in her report. She continued: “CNN has fully investigated the issue, found no basis for the questions about the president’s birthplace, but the controversy lives on, especially on the Internet.” She went on to recite a litany of evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii, including an investigation by the nonpartisan Annenberg Political Fact Check, a statement by Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle, (a Republican and a McCain supporter) and a letter from the director of the Hawaii Department of Health.
As far as I know, they have removed some dubious stories in the past but I cannot find evidence of a printed retraction. They have done retractions before as far as I'm aware.

In general.Wrt to Obama or in general.
BarelyThe claims were made while working for CNN.
But CNN host Lou Dobbs has put his employer on the defensive in recent days by repeatedly focusing on unfounded claims that President Obama wasn't born in the United States — despite reporting by CNN and other outlets confirming that he was.
In our interview, I noted that Dobbs was emphasizing that he believed that President Obama is a citizen, but was clearly indulging the idea that there is room for doubt
CNN also took pains to present the facts in this case. CNN's Kitty Pilgrim introduced the network's reporting on President Obama this way: "There's overwhelming evidence that proves that his birth certificate is real. He was born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961." She cited the governor's statements, the certification of birth record, even the contemporaneous birth announcements in the local newspaper.
In fact, Pilgrim did all that on a program Dobbs knows well — Lou Dobbs Tonight — on a night when Dobbs was not himself on the air.
But Dobbs roared right back in the days that followed. The anchor said he believed the president was a citizen — but that questions were being raised
In general.
Powerful woman with a clear and critical message.
And a quick reminder, Alex Jones' lawyer let the SH parents lawyer have that info by accident, and then never claimed privilege when notified.
His phone and financials will be shared with other families suing, as well as the J6 committee and the DoJ, and I see his ex wife also wants in on the action.
Also a reminder, not all heroes wear capes...
