Who in their right mind watches the non-adversarial sham J6 trials?

Caring more about that than the actual judicial abuse many of those participants faced?
Talk about not breaking character...
It's been such a long time since I've had an opportunity to do this...

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

*sigh*

Needed that. Thanks, pal.

Sorry, what?

Sandmann *brought* the case, he was the plaintiff, not the respondent.
Yes they spread false stories about him. Something anyone that did an ounce of digging at that time would have realised.
A case they lost against him.

Also:

You're usually a much better BSer than this, Kieppie, everything okay, pal?
So because his lawyers failed to proof sufficient defamation you're going to pretend that didn't happen?
"...were protected opinions at the time."
Sheesh Greggy talk about simping for the powers that be.

I'll keep the message short so that you may understand it.

But, but, but... You said:

You forget the CNN lawsuit against Nick Sandmann

You were specific:

You forget the CNN lawsuit against Nick Sandmann

There was no vaguery. None.

You forget the CNN lawsuit against Nick Sandmann

Yet here you are pretending, "Yes they spread false stories about him" makes, "You forget the CNN lawsuit against Nick Sandmann" disappear into the ether.

I mean, if we're going to be talking about simping, how about your 180 just five posts apart?

Anyway...

You forget the CNN lawsuit against Nick Sandmann

Thinking those other networks are somehow exempt proofs how little one actually knows about US news.
Here let me quote something for you..
"And the people who fall for it always seem to think they are the enlightened ones. It's quite remarkable. Indeed. And the people who fall for it always seem to think they are the enlightened ones. It's quite remarkable."

I didn’t forget anything because I’ve no idea what you are talking about. Not being a hillbilly I avoid any “news” or politics from the US. Although to be fair, I do like to point fingers and laugh at the South Africans who follow it as if it matters here.

Yes yes Greg. It's called a typo. I didn't even notice it. And most people reading would know what I was referring to despite this.

Anyway...
Where was I simping though? I only included your favourite MSNC in the list.
They are about as trustworthy as Alex Jones. The difference is people find him entertaining even knowing that most of what he sais may not be true.
Which is probably why the lawyer wants the jury to destroy his media platform and his ability to ever operate it again. So not justice, but rather vengeance?

*says*, is genuine typo.

"You forget the CNN lawsuit against Nick Sandmann" is a full sentence with grammatical structure and everything.

Also, justice? Vengeance?

It's the parents of murdered children who want to stop folks like Alex Jones lying about them and their kids, or victimising and targeting them for nearly a decade - for profit - who want to shut him down.

The parents, not the lawyers... I mean Jeremy Richman committed suicide, Kieppie. Where's his justice?

You're struggling a little with 'plaintiff' and 'defendant' this morning, pal... Maybe have another coffee.

Then you shouldn't talk about it?
Being informed about world news is hardly what I'd "hillbilly" and I find it amusing given your message, and I quote
always seem to think they are the enlightened ones

Anyway most non US citizens get a very skewed view of what actually happens there due to bias in our own media, or perhaps just laziness. Most of us use to only watch a bit of CNN back in the day and this would form our view as it pertains to them.
Luckily most "enlightened" or just plain normal people realise these outlets are the same. So whether it be CNN, Fox or MSNBC doesn't really matter. Their cable shows are all partisan with carefully crafted narratives to suit their respective audiences, while their written articles are slightly less so.

And it matters in how it shapes our culture. We see US politics bleed in through our entertainment unfortunately, mostly to the detriment of it's quality. So being more clued up about what actually happens that side is useful to spot this.
If you choose to remain ignorant of it then that's your choice

Profiting for a decade? Rounding up 6 or so years I see...

Anyway, he was obviously wrong about SH and very few people defend him against that.
However wanting to shut him down over that one thing IS vengeance, not justice.

His justice? Perhaps you should ask Adam Lanza, the actual school shooter? Oh wait he shot himself. What about the police that were warned about him?
I find it ironic that most here know Alex Jones from Sandy Hook, but not the actual perpetrator.

You're making it seem that AJ is more at fault for the trauma the families suffered than Adam.
I get it he is a convenient lightning rod for their anger and grief.

What I don't get is after he apologised and now has to pay punitive damages he still needs to be driven off the air? Yes that is vengeance and does not serve justice at all. Then again if you hate the guy I guess it's easy not to care?

I didn't. I was commenting on the phenomenon of people like you following clowns like him.

Being informed about world news is hardly what I'd "hillbilly" and I find it amusing given your message,

Alex Jones being fined is world news, his message that seems to resonate with people like you in South Africa, is not. That you think it is speaks way more about you that you could possibly realise. The tired old trope of the favourite hillbilly response of 'you watch CNN' says even more and you seem to be the champion.

Let me guess, I don't know you from a bar of soap but I bet you that you support Trump?

Amiright?

and I quote

Lol, and you lot never shut up about them. Have you tried not watching them?

Thanks, but I'll stick to regulated news for my dose of headlines and leave the opinions of YouTube millionaire to those of you who need someone like Jones to validate your theories and feed your prejudices.

You get annoyed when people falsely paint you as a leftist, because of some of your opinions and now you call me a clown follower?
Sheesh, perhaps they aren't that wrong...

No it isn't world news. It's an individual being sued over things he said nearly a decade ago. The reason it's hyped up so much is because the partisan politics applied to him. He came to prominence during Trumps election with the record number of viewers he reached. To many that was his true crime. Before that he was just this conspiracy oddball some people may have heard about.

Let me guess, I don't know you from a bar of soap but I bet you that you support Trump?

Amiright?
As opposed to Hillary or Biden? Bloody hell...

Lol, and you lot never shut up about them. Have you tried not watching them?
You lot? Mmmm refer back to my first paragraph.
You assume I waste my time watching that drek? Ask @greg0205 he is the resident MSNBC watcher or @rvZA for fox.
I'm referring more to people like you that are utterly clueless about these things yet that doesn't stop you from giving uninformed opinions on these subjects.

Thanks, but I'll stick to regulated news for my dose of headlines and leave the opinions of YouTube millionaire to those of you who need someone like Jones to validate your theories and feed your prejudices.

Can’t sue the shooter, can’t sue the gun maker, not the NRA, the school, the state, mmmm lets sue the guy who said it’s all a lie, he’s worth $270 million

This sounds just like his lawyer, who lost.

The hearing made it clear that the parents knew full well who was responsible for their loss… if you watched you’d have known that the case was about Jones ignoring that grief and weaponising it for clicks and profit.

He made them suffer twice, and for years.

They were harassed and threatened by his fans; they had to move from their homes; they needed federal protection because there was a non zero chance that a Jones-head would harm them to make the case go away… All while Alex Jones made bank twisting their misery into a lie he fed his fans.

He got what he deserved, and there’s worse coming for him.

Folks like Cernovich, Posobiec and Kirk need to sleep with one eye open now too, and that’s also a good thing.

They poison the well and there is often real world violence and harm as a result.

One thing I’ve never understood about your gang, Kieps, is how it’s impossible for y’all to disavow the garbage on your side, precisely because they’re on your side.

Jones is vile and you’re allowed to say it.

He is entitled to his opinions. He is now also facing the repercussions for having them. What some of his fans did is a completely separate issue.
Your lust for retribution due to political affiliation for Cernovich, Posobiec and Kirk is noted though and frankly expected.

The big media houses do exactly the same thing. They make bank on clicks. If it turns out they misled people then they make bank on their "apology".
If you really want to be just you'll have them pay back the Ad money they made on the false story and have them carry an retraction for a certain period to make sure it's not buried.
For some reason I doubt you'll agree to is as it pertains to the outlets you peruse?

Lets compare this for example with Nick Sandmann or Kyle Rittenhouse cases. There was a false portrayal of them in the media which had real world implications for them. Where certain institutions would no longer associate with them due to their perceived slights. Contrast this to a single guy on the internet, which even his fans admit is a conspiracy theorist. He has no institutional power AT ALL where as the major news outlets do. Added to that you also have crazy lunatic fans of these outlets making threats to these individuals.

So what I don't understand is why YOU don't also call this out? Hypocrite? Blind? If you weren't blind you'd know most people disavow him due to his Sandy Hook handling as was also evident from the emails of staffers. That doesn't mean he is vile, but it does mean you have no idea about his personality besides what you see in the media. That's your, and frankly most peoples, problem. You don't actually know a person and base your perceptions of off a media caricature.

So I ask you again would you support something like I mentioned in the second paragraph?

Tribalism, whataboutism and a pinch of victimhood.

The Fox "news" "anchors" and talk show hosts have a lot to answer for.
100% sponsored. At least 50% lies.
Worst - The unending spiels are against the best interests of everybody in that country. And it actually seeps out into the rest of the world.
Honestly that "news" service is a plague on this world.
And CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post aren't?
They are just as guilty for fake news, lies and general msm bullfukkery
