South Africa now has more potholes than households

The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) says the country's roads now have an estimated 25 million potholes — around seven million more than the estimated households in the country.

The number is also 10 million more than reported in 2017, an increase of 67% in five years.

They can track this, but can't fix it?

We as a neighbourhood. Repaired all the potholes in our neighbourhood within a few weekends. A couple bags of cold asphalt and tools and voila.

We can each get one pothole, with some left over to spare (so our dear Leaders would get more, as usual)!you get one.JPG

I know a 2 block street that is one big pothole so guess that 20million is accurate.

There is a PLAN.

Our most competent cadre, Mr Fixit, is on the job.

As soon as he is done blowing out some sparklers.

I'm more concerned about the estimated 7 million households. With a population of 60 million, that's an average of around 8 people per house...

I love how they have money to make signs to warn drivers of potholes ahead instead of actually fixing them and in most cases just rubble is thrown in to fill.
