Hi there iv been thrown from one to the other each is pointing fingers at the other can some one plz help narrow down the problem.

Right now for the problem
Connection is dropping randomly some times a few min between drops others a few hours..

No im not capped or near the end our band width (as SAOL uses sliding scale router reboots) Used +-2Gig of 10Gig.

we have replaced the marconie router with a DLink DSL504-T router so thats not it.

The 3rd col is the session login time, the 4'th the session log out time
 
Problems with your ADSL line?? I had the same problem - please check your ADSL modem. Just check that the small ADSL light. Usually the connection gets drop when the connection is weak

Just to put your mind at ease.
 
If I were expecting really great service from a service provider - I would expect them to interface with Telkom and sort this out for you. Some ISP's will assist with the ordering and installation process - why not with troubleshooting?
 
At the last string now

PLZ PLZ i really need help telkom and saol wont stop pointing finger at eachother..

we are sitting at Total Logins: 301 for this month!!

This is crazzzy i cant event down load files any more..

Telkom now recomend thi to saol ..

PPP received a Terminate Request from remote end", pls get the client to
configure his router to bridge mode and then connect with a braudband
connection to see if problem persist. This is probably the only way that we
will determine if its caused byt the router. Awaiting your response.

any ideas how to do this
 
Check your line - I had exactly the same issue... Telkom replaced all my cabling and then all my problems disappeared. From 17 connections per day down to 1 and 1 only.

Ensure that you have a POTS filter om your telephone and that the line itself is crystal clear. Then start phoning Telkom...
 
If an ISP has set session timeouts on your account, you will see the session times are all identical (I.E 3 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour etc.) - when you see random session times it's generally a line or router / modem problem.
