SAPO employees stole millions in grants in 2020

More than 1,700 South African Post Office workers received social grants for which they did not qualify last year, costing the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) around R1.5 million per month.

This was revealed by Minister of Social Development Lindiwe Zulu in a response to a question from Democratic Alliance MP Bridget Masango in Parliament.

Masango asked the minister what the total amount paid by SASSA was to recipients who did not qualify for all types of grants in 2020.

Wha ha ha ha   This is only the tip of the iceberg. What about the corruption, theft that they still have not found out or what they don't want to make public as yet? The corruption and theft of grant money will already, most likely, be in the hundreds of millions, if not billions.

There was a reason why government needed to get grant payments out of the private sectors' hands and straight into the lions' cage....

Sat next to a Sweetlips in HA many years ago registering late births for 5grand a pop. She must have added 10 kids in 2 hours in her little black book.
First checked bank deposit then filled in another form pulled from a huge briefcase.

When you hear about so much corruption, you sure haven't heard all of it.

Is anyone still surprised? They are part of the corrupt new government. The African National Criminals won't touch them because they are the same.

Besides the social grants, they also received 4 packages of mine from Amazon that were unfortunately sent via the SAPO. Luckily Amazon is cool and they resent them.
However, someone's sticky fingers got stuff that never belonged to them.
