SARS eFiling 2023/2024

Busy with my return this year and I submitted some doccies to SARS, but for the extra medical expenses that I have, they are requesting receipts (PoP's). Many places (Physio, Dr, etc.) I paid by EFT for probably 90% of the expenses so I don't have any receipts.

Does anyone know if SARS will accept statements from these establishments? Surely they should, seeing as the statement would show the charges and the payments received respectively.

So they do take efts as proof of medical payments. That is my preferred option just clearly how beneficiary is a medical practice and in my case I also alway make sure it’s from my (taxpayers) personal account.
 
My audit was finalised without changes. Thanks for all the help guys.

Next question, I got the email yesterday more than 24 hours ago. I refreshed my SoA today and the payment date is not there. How long does it usually take after finalising?

I waited for 1 week after mine was finalized.

I submitted my docs on the 18th Aug and it was completed 2 days ago surprisingly.

Quoting my own post just incase anyone else has the same question.
I refreshed my SoA this morning and the payment date is now reflecting. Should be paid tomorrow.

My date is next week Wednesday. They were looking for my 2010 (which I posted to them back then!). So I'm going in to ask them face to face for the magic wand that they use to make all those discarded documents reappear.
 
I got asked for an outstanding return for when I was still in uni and had a part time job. Now I have to wait more than a month to submit an IRP5 file that is already on the system. Can I take a chance and rock up at one of the branches ?

I submitted documents 22 July. I am still waiting.

The online dashboard shows SLA Expired, It counts 21 working days but when I called the contact centre, they told me that for some cases, it can take up to 90 working days

I called they said they have escalated and I should call every 4 to 5 days to follow up. If not sorted I should lodge a complaint

If someone was unemployed for a full year, what is the correct value for this question? It only allows 1-5?

For how many unbroken Period(s) were you unemployed?
