Sars - nominating a public officer for my company

This has been a nightmare. Twice I've been to the sars branch to hand the declaration of who the public officer is in my company. The first time I was near the sars randburg office and decided let me just hand in this info they needed. Waited over two hours and just out of sheer frustration left

Second time waited an hour and got told at reception they needed the sars correspondence letter . I said its on my phone with the ref and they insisted I come with a printed out version. Absolutely absurd

Now I am not prepared to put myself through this again ... Is there another way to get sars this info. Phoning the call centre they insist I must come into the branch

I am honestly stuck with something that seems so simple to do

Are you the only director? I had similar concerns with mine but then after some research I saw that if you don't nominate someone then you - the solo director - become the public officer. I could be very wrong here though...

No two directors ... But for such a menial task this is so painful ...
