South Africa's Giniel de Villiers and Spain's Marc Coma wrapped up overall victory in the South American version of the Dakar rally after Saturday's final special stage ahead of a triumphant untimed liaison ride into Buenos Aires.

Was it just me or was the coverage of this year's Dakar shabby? I dunno if it was because of the huge time zone difference but I never knew what was going on.

And with SuperSports lovely repeats of repeats I just could never figure out what day i was watching.

Anyway, grumbles aside. Giniel jou lekker ding!
