Isn't this the first time a survey reveals that BB is not the favourite any more?

O, and Effective Measurements can stop pasting the "The survey results provide key insights into..."-bit in their press releases now.

Sony Ericsson:confused:??? That itself makes this whole survey suspicious/null/void

Ye i was thinking the same thing. Maybe the ericsson part happens behind curtains now :shrugs:

Anyways that's quite a low figure for Sony, I'm sure there are more users

Personally, I'd never buy either Samsung or Apple for very different reasons.

Samsung = bloatware & gimmicky apps (so I've read / heard on many podcasts, especially concerning the Galaxy S4 and S5 models); Apple = overpriced & not prepared to be locked into their ecosystem.

I'm even put off Windows phone, as reliant on them for updates. Aware they push them out often, but for now my 1st considerations are, if & when I next need a (Google-based) phone, whether it's easily rootable & if there are Custom ROMs available for it.

Then Samsung's bloat shouldn't really be an issue for you, right?

Lol, Effective Measures stats again...... measuring 0.05% of the population and 0.001% of all products and services....

100% correct, but I'd still rather support Co's other than those 2 giants, anyway.

I've half-thought that the BB Z10 and Z30 are good options now that prices have started dropping more, as they have plenty of RAM (2GB, not like the cheaper Android phones @ 512MB), and Google apps can be side-loaded from what I've read.

South African's???

We really need phones like the Nexus and Moto X to come to this country!
