How is this a problem? At least for serious criminals, they will be fine sleeping together. I'm sure at least 30 bodies can fit into a jail cell if they get pushed in hard enough. I dont think the south african voters care about this problem.

The problem is that SAPS is a failure and the corrupt is more than the good.
I listened to a horror story at the police station of a woman who's child was raped by her husband, and when she reported him, he bribed the police to get everything to disappear, then raped her son in revenge. When she then with the help of our justice system, and the police and attorney's who all together abused robbed her into a life of hell.

Our police force is useless and only worth something for criminals.
There are good cops, but that's like saying there were good guys in hitler's nazi army.

You are what you do.

If you lie, you are a liar.
If you steal you are a thief,
If you rape someone you are a rapist.
If you kill an innocent, you are a murderer.

If you protect one of these people, you are an enabler.

We know this this already.

All these things are SAPS
They are liars, thieves, rapists, murderers and enablers.

This is not a police force.
They do not help women and children.
They do not protect the innocent.

Do not ever assume a police officer is there to help you.
He is just a criminal with a uniform.

A handful though, are the great upstanding people that we need.
We need those people to disassociate with the police force.
This **** is rediculous.

**** the prisons, close them up more to make sure we dont need to smell it.
Else, doesn't matter what happens inside.

F the police :p

I was thinking mob justice is probably a solution, but I change my mind after looking at a few images of mob justice.

Begin your day with some relaxing yoga classes:

Too taxing? Perhaps singing is more your thing then head over and enjoy a choir group:

Spend your afternoon upskilling through the variety of classes offered from a 12 month class in computer programming offering: a combination of programming languages, depending on their focus and ability. Those being taught include HTML5 and C++, Java, JavaScript, C#, PHP, Python, Ruby and SQL. “This will allow them to build websites, blogs and apps, and work in database management, among other things.”

Or perhaps you like to work with your hands:

After a gruelling day of yoga, singing and upskilling end your evening with some strippers:

There are old vids on Youtube of some SA prisons, and I'm pretty sure most prisoners were sleeping on the floor even back then.

I'm not particularly sympathetic, but conditions are pretty horrific.

A few issues with that:

1. Do you really trust the ANC with the death penalty?
2. Doesn't a single wrongful execution invalidate the entire exercise?
3. As is the case in countries with the death penalty, it will probably be massively more expensive to execute someone than to imprison them for life. Prolonged trials, special facilities, all the lengthy appeals, counseling for the executioners etc. compared to a +1 in the cattle class.
4. Our constitution makes a huge song and dance about the Bill of Rights being respected by all institutions in SA, and right near the top of that list is the right to life. Would you trust the ANC with modifying our constitution?

Ok then what else is there? your first point is just dumb.
If the ANC did anything with regards to using it as a weapon on the masses and got caught out by it there would be international pressure the outrage and possible UN intervention. Just no, if it did happen it'd be a mass revolt.

2nd point Wrongful executions well let's look at some places that validate before executing people. I mean in some cases it can take anywhere between 3 to 6 months if you continuously appeal a case, even then it's up to the courts to decide if you're just buying time or have prove that he/she didn't do it. Since our constitution and our judicial system is hailed to be one of the worlds greatest I am sure wrongful executions would not happen, if they did it, happens.

3rd. So giving someone a life sentence is giving someone literally a free ticket to do anything, anything without reputations of any kind. I mean I could walk right up to you kill you and your entire family, plead insanity and be handed a life sentence only to kill again and again and again with no stopping. We live in a high tech eara I am sure a computer feels nothing so get someone to just load you in and goodnight. Also, it costs waay more to incarcerate life sentences, prisoners, because as like us all we get old and they get old too. So they need to go to a special step down and still medical, food and housing.

4th point true, But would you still give those same rights to a thing that just rapped, killed and boiled your entire family? At what point do we as humans say that that person is past being helped or even considered sane. You do realize it's a switch in someone's head, sometimes people just are gone. there's nothing stopping them to kill and maybe they enjoy it.

I mean I'll forgive that guy or girl that killed my entire family as a Christian I must but what's stopping them from doing it again? At what point does one say enough is enough.+1 to cattle class? no, I think not you are ridding society of individuals that do not want to conform or choose not to conform. They enjoy anarchy over life.
