I suspect the sampled data is affected by wifi connectivity as a bottleneck to the fibre uplink especially for 100mbit/s+ users.

I would gladly allow the my broadband speed test app to harvest my data to get information such as location and network provider for every speed test I do. Are you guys already doing this?

Highest Average. Not actual top supported speeds.

You see its understandable in the cbd as they need speed to do work.

So technically if my entire suburb decides to get 200mb fibre then we will be the fastest in the area, (unless we are weighed down by people requesting only 10mb connections (which will drop the avg.)).

Why not rather a top supported speeds in each area.

Thats the problem with avg. It doesnt measure actual but only based on criteria like ie add the fastest and cheapest users and mix them up. But what can the area support speed wise?
