SA's UN Voting Record...

SA is accused of shielding Sudan, Zimbabwe, Belarus, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Myanmar.

Next? Zimbabwe..

This is just irritating to be honest.
I hope the UN quite honestly kick the new SA out... we don't belong there anymore.

The UN would never kick SA out, its basically a club for third world dictators, SA'll fit right in. :D

It took South Africa a short 13 years to turn from the human rights champion of the world to dictatorships best friend . My heart goes fro Nelson Mandela who can see his dream falling apart.
I wonder what next ?

He doesn't seem to fazed. Silent as ever. You'd think if his 'dream' was falling apart he'd do something about it.

I guess if you were so brainwashed to think we were ever a "human rights" champion then no surprise you still cling to Madiba :o

With Zuma as the next president, the Chinese must be all smiles while the west is getting grumpy.
“Its [SA’s] reputation has gone from pro-human rights to purely anti-Western,” he said.
That pretty much sums it up. SA has for the last few years developed a very cold shoulder to the west, while bending over for the Chinese.
Our government has the same views as Mugabe does regarding the west, just a bit more tact than him.

But Foreign Affai rs Director- General Ayanda Ntsaluba said some resolutions were designed to promote Western agendas. “A mockery is made of human rights, with the impression created that certain human rights violations are tolerable because they are committed in some countries.”

A typical comment from a pro communist brainwashed, braindead Zombie regime. If it's not apartheid or colonialism its the Western agenda. Remember your are who you bed with and if you mix with dirt you become dirt! Anyway of course nothing else could have been expected as with aids and many other issues they bed with anybody as long as it is not with the western culture they so easily adopted for personal self enrichment but not for issues where it counts towards the benefit of the nation.

Off course the MkKKK's posse will arrive some time to defend this cowardly stances of our regime!

And mass murderers like the motley lot (US,UK,Australia etc) that invaded Iraq.

As South-Africans, how does homicides committed in RSA compare to the loss of life in war zones created by the US,UK,Australia? Getting oil and freeing a country from a violent dictatorship is a win-win situation for everyone. The Western agenda is about as evil as fluffy spring chickens, but Africa is as "hardkoppig" as a brick. Africa doesn't evaluate a subject on merits, only on skin colour. Prejudiced bunch of uncivilized (non-humane) dictators Africans are.

South Africa’s ambassador to the UN, Dumisani Kumalo, accused the US of “whipping up the media, trying to make South Africa look bad”.
Non-white Africans in positions of power are like kids shunned on the global playground, they have snot dripping from their noses, refuse to take baths, carry around diseases and then cry and whine with the teacher if other kids don't play nice with them.
I'm so sick and tired of the "they must be jealous of us, therefore they have an agenda against us" answer. It seems to me it is the African culture to use that excuse every single time they are backed in a corner. At school any disciplinary action against blacks was always answered with "they are picking on me". White kids usually just said, "I don't give a ****" or "I'm sorry it won't happen again". The same goes for the professional environment, just less obvious with age.
Africa is not special enough nor important enough so that the West will waste their time picking on Africa.

Then the the guy who started the thread should have left him out of it :o

Anyway if you're so naive as to think the previous leader and figured head of the ANC is so far removed from the corrupt despots in his own party, his fellow comrades, is a testament to the power of propaganda

I guess it will take some time to remove the untouchable aura. How long was for it Mugabe again?

*sigh*

Still going to take some time to get over the removal of comrade Saddam hey Tubby :p

The oil was already available and the violent dictatorship was just fine as long he was a useful puppet.

Me too. You were referring to the US right?

'Mugabe must rule till he dies'

:D:D Yeah sick b@stards, can only shake my head in admiration!

Much as it goes against the grain I have to agree with Tibby. There was no reason to invade Iraq and we've heard many ... WMDs, Saddam giving succour to Al Qaeda, etc, but there were none with any substance. Now Iraq is what I'd call a primary recruiting ground for young Muslims pissed off at the "West".

Back to the subject at hand, however ... that SA is now the skunk of the world (a position SA is very familiar with :D ) I will say this ... SA probably shouldn't have supported (or been seen to support) the likes of Zimbabwe and Myanmar (Burma) but the West hardly has the moral high ground.

When people try act like idiots do they most often succeed. Congratulations!

Look at this.

South Africa’s human rights reputation is in tatters after a series of “sell-out” votes at the UN on issues ranging from rape and gay rights to tyranny.

This week the watchdog UNWatch ranked South Africa last, alongside China, Russia, Pakistan, Algeria and Saudi Arabia, on a human rights list.

Human rights organisations have branded Pretoria “the chief human rights villain”.

I guess the more things change, the more things stay the same.

Genocide is okay, so long as it's not being done by whites... Also, the checkpoints and military forces of Israel present in the Palestinian territories somehow qualify as the greatest blemish on human rights on the face of the world... What a sad joke. :(
