Morning,

not sure if I should be asking here or in the windows threads, but I'm looking for the SATA disk drivers for XP.

Need to switch a virtual XP machine to SATA rather than IDE, and while I find a lot on google, most of the links are dead.

Thanks.

May I ask why you want to switch over to SATA instead of IDE?

From what I've read, it's one way of speeding up performance of the XP virtual machine; not sure, so I thought I'd give it a try, but quite a few sites (including the VBox forums seem to agree).

Oh, and thanks COMPUTEK, feel a bit silly you found in 7 minutes what I couldn't find in ages.

Hehe google saves the day :)

Well from what i've read on the subject of performance for Virtual Drives, using IDE as the primary and then SCSI for secondary VM drives provides best performance/effort

:D

Been using those "driverpacks" for years - integrated into my XP SP3 Source CD .... they work great ;) .... although I have switched to Win7 since it's release, which is a total different ballgame when it comes to integration :)
