Saudi prince, Jack Dorsey, and Qatar fund help Musk buy Twitter

Elon Musk bought Twitter Inc. last week for $44 billion with the help of Wall Street bank loans and shareholders who agreed to roll over their interest in the social media service in exchange for a stake of the new private company.

That means Twitter, whose shares were delisted last week after almost a decade as a public company, has a new lineup of top investors.

I believe that Elons plan with Twitter is a long term one, that will eventually look something like China's Wechat. Kind of a paypal/youtube/Facebook/whattsapp rolled into one.

It could not be in better hands. Now just new algorithms to reverse all the damage done and the world will be on track again.
Yeah now Putin and Biden can make friends again without getting censored

Only way it was gonna be possible. Musk doesn't have enough money.

Nobody had that type of money in any event. No matter what the stats say elsewhere. It was always going to be a collaboration that would have bought the platform.

Oh I thought you were approving the selection of funders. It'll gladden your heart to know that the Saudis plan to apparently "embarrass" Biden over their oil fights. So, with Twitter under their belt and an election on the horizon they should have just the platform to work their magic.

It's an interesting one. Twitter should be the digital town square for the benefit of the people but the people cannot participate in it's ownership or what that ownership confers to them.

Pretty sure they could embarrass Biden on and off Twitter. I don't believe their last statement was censored?

It will be awesome for Musk to buy google. Wouldn't that be something now.
It's the same Whatsapp group really in terms of shareholding. You'll find Elon's cabal of institutional investors are the same big investors at Google.
