I get spammed at least once a day with absa/std bank/fnb phishing emails, trying to convince me to reveal my login details.

How about, instead of everyone ignoring these emails, we embrace them.

Everyone should start clicking their links, providing fake logins and p/w's and making it so @#$$$# annoying and useless for them that they'll be forced to end their fraudulent ways out of pure frustration.

That is, unless of course their system is so automated, that it actually transfers money for them once a successfull login has been confirmed...

I reply all the time, just fill in swearwords in all the entry fields. I know it does not achieve anything, but gives me brief entertainment for a couple of minutes :)

I use spam block. Easy peasy.

Yeah, getting increasingly aggressive emails from these phishermen...They seem more concerned about my bank account being suspended if I don't log-in than I do.
I ignore them - mainly coz i get the feeling that if I click through on links that include my specific email address in it's details, then I'll just get more spamz, which is counter-productive.

The point is not to use a spam filter, but rather to discourage the phishers from sending the spam in the first place=> which will protect the poor innocent internet noobs who still fall for these scams.

That said, "as jy dom is moet jy voel". How many times does the banks have to tell people "NEVER EVER CLICK ON A LINK IN AN EMAIL!"

That is a very very very bad idea. They could use zero day exploits of windows to install malware on your system and steal your banking login details that way.
