SBF is staying in the tjoekie

Sam Bankman-Fried’s request to be released from jail ahead of his Oct. 3 fraud trial was denied by a federal appeals court, hours after he lost a separate ruling that blocks him from calling expert witnesses for his defense.

The former FTX co-founder has been dealt a series of setbacks as he gears up for his trial, which is scheduled in two weeks.

Guilty or not this does sound like a miscarriage of justice in not allowing a proper defence and more in line with the U.S.'s hard stance against crypto in general.

There's been no trial yet.

He tampered with witnesses pre-trial so his bail was revoked.

Where is the miscarriage in that?

How is calling experts to testify at your trial tampering? How is limiting who your defence team can enlist not a miscarriage?

His bail was revoked because he leaked his girlfriend's personal correspondence to the NYT... She's cooperating with feds and will almost certainly testify against him.

This has nothing to do with expert witnesses being called.

I did.

He tampered with a witness and his bail was revoked. On appeal the judge ruled some of his witnesses's testimony would have no bearing on the case while others would, and he excluded the ones who wouldn't, but SBF is staying in jail until the trial.

There is no problem here, unless your name is Sam Bankman-Fried.

Seems you need to read again or need glasses. He talked to a reporter which isn't out of the ordinary. I'm also against gag orders as they don't serve justice so don't bring such things up as someone not having a right to share info about their case. The judge actively prevented him and his lawyers from even contacting some potential expert witnesses (not people involved in the state's case) so that can't be seen as witness tampering. Also what gives the judge the qualification to decide which witnesses will provide relevant testimony beforehand?

There's more than enough grounds here for automatic appeal or even dismissal with prejudice if he's found guilty unless you're involved in the U.S. case and their endless attacks on crypto.

Since he contributed a lot to the current Democrat movement in the US, I suapect he will be out and a free man with a presidential pardon, likely before Biden leaves office.
