Scam scam scam!

I tried to register for a new forum and discovered that I had been blacklisted! Eventually I traced the listing to The Spamhaus project and discovered that my IP address except for the end bit was being used in a Nigerian or 419 scam. it seems they may have used my router's IP as well (It does have one doesn't it?).

At any rate they assured me that my name and email address was not on their list, but that SAIX/Telkom are the ones to sort it out and that they don't seem to be interested in doing anything about it.

Can anyone tell me who I should contact to sort this out or what else I could do?

It's probably because you're going through the transparent SAIX proxy.
I tried to register on slashdot.org (news site for nerds) and they picked up the IP of cache.saix.net which is blacklisted.

The only way to bypass the transparent proxy is to connect directly to a public proxy on a port other than 80 like 3128 or 8080 and then register through that proxy.
Of course someone could be running software that sniffs for login info on their public proxy server.
