I hope this is hyperbole. Solar generations efficiency will not increase 10 times in the next 25 years. I guess we can hope.

Yes, but that maintenance is also proportional to the amount of mechanical and moving parts where there is wear and tear. So I'd expect wind turbines to have a lot more maintenance compared to solar arrays, as an example. Another added advantage of both solar and wind, is the ground underneath can still be utilised for farming without lots of air pollution either...
